Summer Intern Positions
Summer Intern: Evanston, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Spokane
Location: Campus Kitchen at Northwestern University (Evanston, IL)
Coordinator will supervise an operating Campus Kitchen, including: the Student Leadership Team, all volunteers, food donations, food bank pick-ups, educational programming for students and the
community, and relationships with the university, the community, and clients. Click here for full position description.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to relate to students professionally
Semonstrated knowledge of the significance of partnership
Awareness of social justice issues
Strong interest and experience in college community service an service-learning programs
Commitment to the mission of the project and its impact on communities
Proven leadership ability and strong organizational skills
Project and multi-task management, public speaking, event planning, demonstrated verbal and written communication skills

Reports To: Director of The Campus Kitchens Project
The Program Director, Eastern Region oversees local programs, plans national strategy, and assists with the development of new programs. This position will work closely with the Program Director, Western Region as well as other members of CKP's national office including the Director, Development Director, and New Site Development Manager. Qualifications:
The position requires:
- Bachelors degree, Masters is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in written, with upper-level school administrators, fenders, community partners, and students is a key skill set for this position.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Management and supervisory skills working with a diverse populations of individuals
- Careful record-keeping
- Attention to detail
- Professionalism
- Non-traditional hours
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong motivation for direct service work and involvement with college students
- Interest in non-profit organizations is a plus!
